Is there an easy way to do a wheel alignment after changing tie rod ends?

Place two paint cans a head and to the out side of the front tires. Now run a string around the rear tires of the bike and then around the paint cans. If you do it right the string should run about center of the rear wheels and touch square on the rim then out around the paint cans, not touching the front wheels, to complete a rectangle. Center the handle bars then measure from the string to the rear outside edge of the front rim. Measure from the string to the front outside edge of the front rim and it should be 1/8" less. Repeat on the other side and this will give you the proper toeout. Break the locks loose on the tierod ends first and make sure the handle bars stay centered and you shouldn't have a problem......
