Anyone have one of these track kits on their Sportsman? 3K but looks cool.

That would be cool to have, but I don't know if it would look good on a Pred. Nice sled you have.

I would think they would be very troublesome. Just buy a Polaris 6x6 and add there factory tracks to the back wheels. They are unstoppable

i have looked at these and thought they would be cool to have but i hear u lose your top speed like in half

yup u said it. i talked to a guy at the DU and he said nothing over 35 or 40 with the tracks.

Default Anyone have one of these track kits on their Sportsman?

my friend has them, plan on staying in low gear.. they eat up a lot of your horse power.. i dont recommend them unless you need them, for everyday use they kinda suck, my buddy kept getting hung up on simple things like small trees that were down.. i ride over them, his front end would turn and he'd go sideways and get hung up.. sure they are great in mud/snow, but unless you live in it i dont think they are worth it.

Default Anyone have one of these track kits on their Sportsman?

Where they really shine is in the deep snow. They do cut your speed in half and burn more gas to turn them, but in deep snow through a cutting it takes a good long track sled to follow one. I don't know if your guys know what a Tucker Sno Cat is but put those tracks on a 500 Sportsman and you have a minnie Tucker.....

Default Anyone have one of these track kits on their Sportsman?

they dont do all that good in deep snow..a guy i know had a set on his grizzly,ive seen him stuck many times with them and thats in snow that i could stop on my sled and then roost my way out..
