Rope Start for 700
#17
If you keep your quad in good repair and your ambient temperatures stay fairly warm in the winter you will probably never need a pull start. On the other hand if you live where I do, the temperatures drop to -20 deg C and by the time you've driven to your hunting area the quad and battery are very cold. Last year this very situation happened to me, the battery would hardly turn the engine over. 2 pulls on the rope and she off and running. For me I like having a backup pull start.

By pull starting, I mean with another quad.
I live in Michigan and it is common to have very cold winters At times there are weeks on end when the temp is close to 0 degrees. Never had a problem. Maybe other have had different results. Just saying I have never needed it. But then again never needed a pull rope for my cars and trucks either.

Hey if you have a 700 EFI and the battery is dead, i dont think it would start any way because of the injectors not getting any power to spit fuel, and on the Polaris website they doesn't say the the Military is an EFI
