Default 400 sport for work???

well i was going to buy a new quad but somethings happend and now im not so anyway could i use my 400 sport for pulling a finish mower? is there a plow available that would fit my frame?? will the tranny work for these things with no low gear? and will my motor handle the stress of being at the same throttle position for long periods while i pull the mower?? it gives me hope that it will be fine since they have used this motor in alot of utes...so tell me what you think..

well i know they have the same motor in the 400 explorers as they do the 400 scrambler. but the scramblers/sport dont have a low gear option so i dont know what to say. i would imagine that it would work beings a finish mower isnt all that heavy. but wait and see other replys or maybe see what a dealer has to say.

Uhh my best suggestions on pulling a mower would be that you cany really go slow enough, and if you could the the would be hard of the belt... We had a old TRX250 hond (this thing was a tank) it was geared lower than my scrambler and it still pulled the mower a little to fast, but all you can do is try...And for the snow blade i think that there is a company that makes one, but only having 2wd might be tough to do

i can't comment on pulling power (although i'd think it'd be fine for it if you have a hitch), but as for low speeds, i use my scrammy for my summer job at constant low speeds and i can keep it pretty constant. maybe not second gear slow of a tractor style mower, but slower than we drive our hydrostat mowers, anyways... my 2 cents

i know a guy that had 350 2 wheel drive and did this driveway that is about 300ft and it worked okay he put a tool box on the back and filled it with sand. you could always look for a tranny with low gear? that was the one reason i did not buy a scrambler as no low gear
