I bought my buddy a used DG silencer on ebay for his TBlzr 400. It needs to be repacked and I've never done it. Any one have any tips? Is it as easy as it looks? Thanks!!!!

 

I re packed mine one time. It was real easy. But it didnt last very long. The inner pipe rusted in two, and fell down. Blocking the outlet.
So I just bought a new one.

 

Pay attention to how the old packing is folded and fold the new packing the same
way. I used some very light gauge wire to hold the new packing around the pipe.
It should just slide right in the cover. The hard part is pulling the old core out.
