Orange winch? The ones at harbor freight are black. But yes for 49 bucks it was a good deal to have. I have no complaints with mine. I didnt use the switch that it came with either. I got a heavy duty winch switch from Lowes and it was 6.99. I didnt like the hand held switch that came with it.

I got 100ft of Amsteel for $60 from ebay. I think the stuff that YAK is looking at is for the bigger 8k-9klb winches but the atv cable is around 75-100 from someone other than ebay.

winch is this the winch from harbor freight you have? i bought the one with the handle for 50$ to pull my 6 wheel atv onto my trailer. it can be bolted or uses a trailer ball on your hitch. i may try the one you bought to use on my trailblazer. what size amsteel did you put on it?[diameter]

Yes that is it. Only I did not use the supplied remote. I went and bought a heavy duty self centering rocker switch from lowes. It works great. It pulls just as much as my friends warn 2.5 ci winch. I have pulled my friends sp700 out from deep mud many times and it does not struggle. And Harbor freight has a 1yr warranty with them. So even if it burns up I can return it for another one. My naighbor has one of these on his rancher and has been running it for 2yrs now. Still works great. I figure for $50 you cant loose. It serves the same purpose as the more expensive winches. I got 1/4 in Amsteel Blue line. Am able to fit more than 100 ft of line but thats as long as I have seen it sold on ebay.
