Anything useful to contribute?

There are a few recurring issues with the pred, but I cannot remember exactly which ones carried into the 04 model year and which were fixed. Hopefully someone will post an intelligent answer to your question. Sorry for the poor input.

only rteal problem I know of with the 04's is the sticking front brakes, but there is no fix out for that yet.

How bad do they stick ? Bad enough to be dangerous?

No the sticking brakes wont cause any problems. You wont even feel it when riding.

All of the preds have the brake problem.......they just rub a bit, and when you want to stop(with the front brake), they are definately there for you.......you have to get used to the responsiveness of the front brakes.

The seat is being fixed more and more, but there is still a dip in the seat, but this isn't a problem once you get used to it.

If you are a hardcore rider(mx rider) then you need to keep an eye on the frame.....after big jumps it has been breaking, but Rath Racing now has a gusset kit for it.

The motor is very strong, but lacks torque(stock) on the lower end.....but a simple gearing change(38 or 39 tooth rear sprocket) will fix that.

The airbox has been known to be crapy....I still run it, and if you keep and eye on it and close it good, it will hold up for you. Some say it leaks dirt. You can grease your filter(around the edges) to fix this though.

The fenders attaching to the gas tank is sort of a joke. It works fantastic, but they soon break......which you can try to fix them, or just leave it and it will be fine either way.

The weight of the pred can also be a large topic around here, it weights a lot more than other equal sport quads, but I believe it is built that much better, and in fact it is......you don't really notice that weight either, unless you start getting into serious drag racing, or you start getting off the ground a lot.......

That is all that I can think of, the rest of the predator is top notch......
