Default New Polaris ATV price help

Ok im getting a new atv very soon. The one im getting is a 2004 or 2005 scrambler 500 4X4. The MSRP is 6,100.00 my dealer made it 6,000.00 and it came out to like 6700.00 after taxes and shipping. I feel like this price is unfair. The dealer i was gonna use is one in walking distance from my house and i belive is the biggest dealer in CT. Is this a fair price or should i go somewhere else and try to get a better price? Thanks

Wow, he's taking a whole $99.00 off msrp. The Scrambler's msrp is $6099.00 I think I would go somewhere else. You should at least be able to get it for $5700.00 My dealer just sold me a 05' sportsman 700 efi for $7680.00 including tax, winch, handwarmers, and thumb warmer. I think it was around $7200.00 before tax and the msrp on the 700 efi is $7899.00.

You should look around a little . Get the total out the door price when you talk to the dealers. Once you get a good out the door price tell the dealer who is the closest to you what the other guys are offering and see if they will match it. If the prices are all close ( within $200 ) I would stick with the dealer who is close too you. ......More then $200 would have me buying from another dealer.

One thing I forgot to mention is right now Polairs has either $266.00 off the price or $400.00 in free accessories. I don't know how long this offer is for but I think you should ask your dealer about it.

I got my 05 Predator OTD for $6,000 and they threw in the Pure Polaris Pipe for free. Keep checking around, they can do better then that.

Scrambler405, only $100 off list is an insult! shop around a little. if you near the MA border, i'll give you the name and # to a great dealer. he has a 2005 Scrammy, just showed-up on the showroom. you will get a good discount and a well set-up ATV from them.

PM me for the info. is interrested.

sincerely,

-MT

Do some research on the 2004/2005 differences. If they feel you don't know, they may try to sell you a 2004 as a 2005. Have heard of this happening to other people (not necessarily Polaris) and while the differences might be minor, it would make a big difference in pricing. When I bought the wife's Blazer, one dealer offered me a 2002 for 3300. Went to the one I prefer and got a 2003 for 2900, plus some stuff thrown in. Good luck!
