Default Polaris Scrambler 500 Headlights

Hey Bigbadscrammy (or anyone):

I hear you can put 55wt replacement bulbs in the 500 scrammy...but I heard you may have to change the glass or something can anyone help?

Also where can you get the 55 watt bulbs?

I have a freedom 02 eddition and I am in the process of setting it up with some mods...just did mudlights 2 sizes over with .190 douglas (front) and itp (rear) rims. Also getting a pipe, filter and jet kit (haven't decided which one) ...I mainly ride rocky and muddy trails. I also did the clutch kit with one tooth smaller front sprocket.

What other cool mods are worth the while on a scambler?

Thanks,

Johnny Rocket

Tried the whole "modding a light bult to fit in the stock light" thing. Not worth the effort. I went down to the autoparts store and bought some Pilot Navigator Cyber White lights for $40. Had to grind a little of the housing and enlarge the mounting hole, but that was it. They bolted right on. I wired them to the stock wiring. As for what else to add, check my sig! LOL And I would suggest you look into the HPD Airbox/carb mod before you decide on a jet kit. It will work with the HPD pipe as well as the Whit Bros or any other one you decide on.

Do you have a model number or size for those headlights...I was looking on line and I couldn't find them. Stock ones are about 3" by 5" but I couldn't find the ones you have in their catalog.

Thanks,

John

I definately noticed better throttle response with the airbox mod. That and it pulls a little harder now too. I would highly recommend it, especially over a jet kit

Hey BBS, with the nice wheels and tires, the nice front bumper, and the cool flamed seat cover, maybe you could get a nicer tool box for the rear rack? (just a thought)
