Default Made up my mind

Well I posted that I was getting the 800, but the dealer just called and said that it would be the first of the year before they could get me on one! So I'm going to buy a 05 black/red 700EFI tommorow. I will have pictures and I ride report Sunday night. While I really wanted the 800, I just can't wait any longer. Sure my dealer will be getting a about 15 before the end of the year but they are just about all pre-sold. I plan to keep this quad until the 2006's hit then buy a 800. Let some of the bugs work there way out, any improvements they may have are all reasons for the wait. The 700EFI is a proven quad in my book, with 2000 trouble free miles I feel safe with this one! Not that the 800 wont be, but I am going to give this one another year to get even better. Tommorow and Sunday should be good days for me this year! What do you all think?

I think you are making a good decsion. The 700s have proven themselves, and the cc increase from the 700 to the 800 is not that great anyways...the extra cc's to me is just a marketing ploy on getting people to buy more expensive quads is all....good choice

Good choice. I've got the silver/black '05, I think I posted my pictures in your previous post. Not problems whatsoever so far.

There is one problem actually, the access plastic in front, below the headlight upper pod comes loose. It is only snapped in place. By a couple of 3/4" metal screws and drill holes at the back sides of the plastic of the cover and below and put a screw in there....kinda the same way the headlight upper pod plastic holds in place....

It will be the same on all machines, but because of the way it is mounted, it won't fall off, just keep popping up....too many cables running under there.
