Default Help with Sportman

I just bought a rebuilt engine on e-bay for my wheeler. I got it all installed and went to put the carb on and it wont fit!! The angle from the cylinder is just a little different from my original motor and the carb hits the gearbox. I told the guy I bought it from it was a sportsman and not a scrambler. The scrambler has a different cylinder angle. My question is, does anyone know of a kit or an adapter I can buy or make to get this cylinder to work in my bike if this guy dont make it right?

Give some information if you want an answer....what year sportsman, what size sportsman motor, what was the motor listed as, why didn't it come with the carb? etc. etc. etc.

from the limited info you provided, sounds like you bought the wrong motor....take it to a place that doesn't custome work and ask if they can build you an aluminum plate to mount the new carb, etc..

THe motor is a 400 poalris 2 stroke....the motors are all the same...except for the scrambler, it has a different angle on the cylinder where the carb mounts. this is not an aluminum part it is rubber. It is the mount for the carb to the reed valve to the motor...in that order. The bike is a 96 and the motor I put into it has 96 cast numbers all over it.
