what is the widest tire i can put on a stock rim for a 04 sportsman 600

I have not played around much with the stock wheels, but I'll wager a 9" front and a 12" rear. That's the set-up from my 04.5 500HO. I do have aftermarket wheels, so maybe 9" could be too wide out front....
