I've had slime in my tires for 4 years and it hasn't dried up yet. It will work for smaller punctures, but not cuts or larger holes. When I get new tires I will not put it back in. Just carry a plug kit with you. If you think slime makes a mess, wait till you pull off the tire after you've put fix a flat in them.
