The trails in MI are closed (except for a short time during the day) for deer hunting. Seems that quads might make good targets for hunters with buck fever. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] I guess with some 400,000 hunters in the state, its not such a good time to go out. Last weekend, we went to the Leota trails and we saw hunting camps set up every few hundred yards near the trails. I was suprised at the concentration of hunters. I guess I will go out to the garage, adjust/clean my chain and practice fishslab's step #7 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I pitty you all out there, we either take our chances at getting shot by some moron with a gun who can't tell the difference between a wheeler and a white tail, or just wait until Sunday when they can't hunt. Personally I hunt so I only go wheeling on Sundays until regular gun season is over, then we ride hard until it snows. Then we have to stay on trails that aren't sponcered by the snowmonbile clubs (which are few).
Gotta say though, I think you guys out west have a lot better areas to ride. We have woods, mud and roads. No sand dunes to speak of. A few pits here and there to play in, but many are private contractors and won't let people ride in them.
