Default Tranny venting oil

Just when you thought it was safe to go up the hill... Last couple time me 'n the missus toodled up the forestry road (smooth, you could take a car up there) at a steady 15 to 20 mph, I noticed oil coming from a vent tube that comes out of the trans? just below and forward of the caliper/disc setup on the RH side. The tube is up and over the carb and was ejaculating all over the clutch housing. Any ideas why this suddenly started? Its a 93 350L 4 x 4. Only real difference isthat it is cooler than when I usually ride - 5 to 10 degrees above freezing depending on which scale you use. When I blow back into the tube, it pressures up so I am lead to believe there is no other air vent. Plus I can't find my manual in all the crap I have in my office. Hmmm...

I had a similar problem on my Mojave. You probably just overfilled and when you were on an incline it flowed out.

I dunno - never filled it since I bought it this spring (Kinda dumb - never checked it either) Pulled the stick today and its down to the add notch. Vents free cus you can blow through it with dipstick out. What kind of oil are you supposed to use - wondering if maybe to thick?

Thanks
Neil
