thanks for the info....how does the machine do with the 28" tires? did you drive it much with the 26 inchers? I was going to wait on the 800, but I came back into town during our bow elk hunting in the beginning of September and picked up the 700 '05....used it to get my elk out.....

give us a report on your experiences with the 800, I'm sure that people will be eager to here.....not sure i'll upgrade, maybe if they come out with a Camo version at some point, but I think i'll get the Sportsman 1000 next year....lol....i've been spreading that rumor....

I havent had much seat time but I am going riding this weekend. The 26s were on the quad for maybe 1000 feet of riding. I'll keep them for trail rides, but my main thing is mud.

hey polaris5610, the rack extenders do make the quad look better in my opinion, nice pics.

TexMud, i spoke with Highlifter today. they recommend 9.5" up front. i noticed you opted for the 10.5". they said something about strut and front end stress issues. what are your thoughts?

i love the look you have there. might try it on mine. just need more input.

thanks,

-MT

anytime you very from stock, you are putting stress on the machine....he is running spacers, so he can put on the 10.5's....on my '05 700 EFI, I put on 27" tires, wheels...the front tires are 9's and much wider than the stocks, much beefier....the tire combination puts its stress on the machine as now I can only hit alittle over 60 on the speedo, when I could hit almost 70 before....definitely makes a difference...

mtpockets, HL is correct. The quads with struts like the Sportsmans are the reason the 9.5 inch Outlaws were designed. I went with the 10.5s since mine still have tread on them. Cant afford new ones...and if I could they would NOT be wimpy 28s...
