my brother in law just got a polaris 400 (2-stroke) and he thinks he can beat my 2001 400ex. what is you guys' opinions on this race and who do you think will win. mods below


400ex=white brothers e-sereis,k&n filter,dyna jet jet kit


scrambler=dynaport exhaust,jet kit,k&n filter

 

I'd say it would be pretty close. Depends on weight of the rider and skill now.

 

i forgot to add that the scrammy is 4wd

 

yup it will be pretty close.

 

you will probably win,only because of the added weight of the 4x4.if he does some more mods he will smoke you..

 

I had one bad 400 4x4, if he gets some good mods look out, they will scream. I would have to agree with duneaholic, it would be close race now.

 

what about the automatic tranny and the 2 stroke that acts like a 4 stroke how does this thing produce any power to hang with a 400 manual shift

 

the 400's are faster than people think. Its not a 2 stroke that acts like a 4 stroke. You can have these things run at 85+ hp.

 

lol,you have it all wrong..the auto tranny will shift more consistant than you will and it will shift much quicker..what makes you think it acts like a 4-stroke?with the mods i have listed your machine wouldnt even be close,even if i gave you a head start

 

whoa i think i pushed the wrong button. but its is 4wd when i think about 4wd i want to go over rocks and and hit mud holes. big deal if you can beat my 400ex we also have a raptor and an lt500r that will burn you up so dont get too cocky there buddy
