what you have to do is get a four pin 12volt relay, and some 6" pieces of wire with the colors listed below. solder the wires to the relay terminals listed to the correct color wire. put heat shrink over the soldered terminal to seal from water/moisture. remove the gauge pod and locate the wires shown, you will have three brown wires(brown/red, brown/white, brown) find the all brown wire and make sure it isn't one with a stripe. the purple wire should be purple with a white stripe on your machine, this is the one which gets spliced to the "purple wire". I used scotch locks to attach the relay/wires to the factory wiring but am going to remove them and permanetly splice/solder them on and I cut the wires and added a four wire connector also cause with the mod installed you nolonger have control over the yellow button to change the trip/tach/hours display. this way I can disconnect the mod for the summer and connect it for the winter to plow. but you can decide what to do for yourself. I will try to take pics of my kit when I get home, I am in canada right now for work so I'll be home monday evening.
