Default 700 Recoil

This is to follow up on a discussion from a while ago to whether or not a 700 could be pulled over by a recoil. I did it with ease tonight. I stopped in at the dealership to pick up some bushing for my front end and what was there to my amazement,,,, an 800 and a MV700. It took me 3 pulls to get the MV to fire but I never choked it until the third pull either. I stood on the running board and pulled straight up. I know this might sound over the top,,,but it "seemed" easier than my 500. Just thought I would let curious minds know.

It should be easier. You are pull starting smaller cylinders. I didnt know the MV700 has a pull starter. The SP700s and SP800s do not.

nice but the real question is whether or not you can add one of the recoil pull start units on a non equiped sportsman. like the newer 500-700's

I believe that would be possible by looking at them. There may be some difference between stators but You would need the cover off to tell for sure.
