ok i lost my key now i need a temporary fix until my keyswitch comes in can i put a toggle switch on the ignition wires to make it work if so which ones there are four according to my manual but i still dont know which ones to connect

 

i lost the key on the 400 and shut it off with another key for some reason and i took it apart then pryed it back on with a screwdriver as i needed to ride it one day and to tell you the truth i still have not bothered to get another yet as i seem to forget cause it works just leave it on and use the switch. i know it sounds like a hack but one day i will fix it when i am in the dealer and remember. ithink u can jump the wires on the back and u should be good to go

 

i've heard that if u just pull out the wire for the ignition u can just pull start it. it works for polaris quads only tho i think.

 

i have 2 buddies that have 03 tb400s...

one time one of them forgot their key and after much discussion of what wires to jump, and disconnecting the harness and pullstarting it(which didnt work) , we tried the key from the other tb400 and it worked!

if you have a buddy with a similar year of quad, you might try his key., u never know,.,,,,,,
