Default Almost lost ...

Almost lost my Polaris and Arctic Cat this morning. Somebody broke into my shed about 0400 thru a window - opened the door and pushed the ATVs out. Luckily, my dogs heard them and started barking. They had got the Arctic Cat to the road and the Polaris was about 100yds down the road. Guess the thieves took off when my wife opened the door. I jumped in my Jeep and tried to find somebody to pulverize but came up empty. My guess is that they live close by - not gonna get too far pushing a Sportsman ...

I always keep the keys in the house and the shed is always locked but that is obviously not enough. Will be installing bars on the windows today. Anybody have recommendations on good cables/locks or anything else that will help prevent this? I'm sure they'll try again.

Thanks
Ben

Freinds of mine had a quad stolen from their shed. besides securing the building better with bars and better locks they drilled a hole in the concrete and put a large eyelet in the floor. Now they use a hevay cable lock to secure the quad to the floor as well.

I have both - problem is the dogs were in the house and I wasn't fast enough with the #2 option. If it hadn't been for the dogs I'd have lost em.

There are cable locks out there that will emit a 100 + decibel alarm if they are cut or tampered with...A cheap motion detector might also help . Try to incorporate the bicycle into your security system....by cutting it up and making bars for the window with it :^)

Hehe - good idea on the bike. I got my window fixed up and I did put a motion sensor in there. I had a wireless security system that wasn't being used so I fired it up. Should work well.

I am interested in that cable lock - got any more info on that??

Thanks
