Problems With my 04 Predator!! Any ideas??

I Broke my frame a month or two ago and polaris gave me a new frame. So I installed a Rath gusset kit on the new frame.After welding the frame paint was messed up so I sent it out to get powder coated Cherry Red.Well it got done and apon shipping UPS f--ked up the coating by smashing the box it was in.(all scratched up) .I had shipping insurance so, Ups had to pay to ship it back and recoat it. At the same time I had planned to do engine work,so i orderd a set of Custom web cams but, one was wrong so i had to send it back. well, i don't know how bt somehow UPS mixxed up the shipping and sent the frame to web cams!!! I don't kow how they did that because I had wrote the Frame coaters address on the box VERY BIG.
The frame went to the west coast when it should have gone to North Jersey (1hour north of me).after it gone sent to the right place(where it is Now) UPS has been dragging there feet about paying the powder coater.
So hear I've been riding my scrammy==well It took a dump(needs a new piston) so for the last two weeks I've been beating the Broken Predator.Now it has took a little dump to.It WILL NOT START COLD!!!And seems to have lost power.This dosen't really boter me because of all the Engine work I will be getting as soon as I get the new frame.For now I would like to ride the pred as is but,The cold start problem is bad . If i push it and pop it in gear it will start and once it's warm it starts right up. but, if it gets cold it will not start. Any ideas???
I WILL NEVER EVER USE UPS AGAIN!!!!

Hey, they was a topic on this on PredatorOwners.com, I will check it out...and see what they say about it. I will let you know.
Ok they are saying to ajust your valves, thats what was wrong with his. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I thought that I might have to ajust the valves . after all I have 320 hours on it and I have never ajusted them. I was hoping that maybe it could be something different so I could fix it for the weekend. I could get the shims and reajust but , I really don't want to do that when anyday now it will be going into the shop for a new frame and complete engine mod----web Cams-ported polished head fitted with Ti valves (nicholas cycle)-558 big bore(high comp wiseco)dyna CDI-hinson clutch basket-lighten flywheel-Rath head pipe all jet-hot coated-cfm airbox and oil tank.
I still need to figure out what carb to use but even with a modded stock it should rip.
Dam UPS!!!!screwwing me again!!

Doug says that the TM45 is a Great Carb. But it is a twist throttle. I was going to go with it, but I changed my mine. Hey check your polit jet, it might be to lean. Do you stay with the stock polit?

tried a bigger pilot jet went from 45 stock to a 52.
right now it has a CFM airbox with a dyno jet kit (160 main jet and no lid on airbox.
You were more then likely right about the valves who knows>
we will find out someday But keep the ideas coming.

Did you check compression?? or the valves?? I would say it is one of them. As for the cold starts, mine don't start cold either........I have to pull it in the warm shop and let it sit for about an hour........

check the valve clearances the intake tolerances are... 0.10 - 0.20 and the exhaust are 0.22 - 0.32 you have ten hundredths to play with there wich is kinda big i thought but that is straight out of the manual!
