Nerf Bars With Heel Guards
#1
Does anyone have these on their Scrams or Sports? My wife wants some but want the heel protection. They are kinda pricey so I was wanting to see if anyone had them before I laid down the cash. Thanks.

Check my pics.
They weren't too bad to install. I had the cut the front bars on them, weld pegs on my frame, then slide the bars on.
They are AC Pro-Pegs for a raptor. I got them from www.gopartsdirect.com that was the cheapest place i found them.

Yours was the first place I looked. I wasn't sure if that was part of the Polaris frame or the Honda frame. Do the nerfs bars have a place for a round pegs to slide onto. I looked at some on ebay and they looked like yours did. But they were for I believe a Banshee. It looked like they supplied some round pegs to install after you removed the stock foot pegs. I'm not sure how Banshee stock pegs are configured so I was just guessing. On my Scram I used a steel bar of 3/4 conduit to connect the two sides together and clamped the conduit to the bottom of the frame. I looks like you couldn't do that cause of the modded frame so I'm guessing again that you had to weld the pegs to the frame. One more question. How did you weld the heel guards(they are aluminum?) to the steel frame. I'm no welder but I didn't know you could weld aluminum to steel. Thanks, Shawn.

The bars are made so they join together in the front, you have to cut that out, because they wont fit with the polaris frame. I had to weld pegs in the front that the bars would slide on to, because of the honda frame. You could use the conduit like you were saying, and connect it that way. In the back, the bars do come with brackets, but, I made my own, and welded them to the frame. So on each side of the bike I have two pegs that come out, and the bars slide right on. You can see in my 2nd and 3rd pics that the right bar also has a thing in the back to bolt to the frame, I just welded a tab to the frame for that.
As far as welding on the aluminum, I didnt, they just slide on and bolt in place. I drilled a hole through each bar where it slides on, and bolted it through the peg, and one through the tab I welded on.
Putting the bars on was actually alot easier than I thought it was going to be when I took them out of the package. I think these are the best looking bars out right now too, I love em.

Hey talonhawk. Are those for the Banshee? They look really good and look like they fit just like mine. Did you have to cut off the foot pegs and weld a round peg to mount the peg end of it?
