Default Was my 03' Pred a good deal?

Hey guys, just picked up a 2003 Pred with about 5-10 hours on it. Basically brand new condition. I paid $3450. Is that a good deal, or average? What's the scoop.... Thanks guys!!

thats a good deal with that many hours on it....the 2003 was the first year for the predator, so there were some tranny issues that I believe the dealer can update and fix....other than that, great machine....i've seen them for cheaper, but usually more time and wear on them.....polaris of chattanooga sells the 2005 predator for $5299, the TLD for $5599....not sure if they have any 2004 machines left over....i'd love to have one, but the older i get, the easier I break...lol

Thats a fair price, buddy bought his 03 for $3,000....and I thought it was fair. It also had low hours on it, the only thing that was wrong was the decals was gone. The guy he bought it from had bought the 5 year warranty. So how do you like it?

I love it so far! It's still under warranty untill March, so I wonder if I can still buy the extended warranty. Also, I wonder if I should bring it in and have them update that tranny issue? What was it by the way? Should I bring it in? For the price it's a great quad. I was looking at some 03 Raptor's and they wanted like $3800-$4000. Then there was some 1999 Warriors for like $3k. Come on, who's going to spend 3k on a 99 warrior??

Thanks for the help guys.

The problem appears to mostly be 4th gear. I know the Polaris was fixing these for free when they would break. I would talk with your dealer, they made a change to the '04 machines that fixed the problem...

Also the shifting wasn't considered smooth. If you don't have any problems and like how it shifts dont worry about it.

Still under warr becuase it was a 2003 leftover, and did not leave the showroom floor untill March of this year.

I'm going to check with the dealer anyway...just to make sure there's not somthing I should be getting done.

UPDATE:

I called the dealer and he said it only has a 6 month warranty. What's up with that? No 12 month warr on Polaris? That's pretty cheap of them if you ask me.

Any comments?
