KFX vs Scrambler, No way
#1
I have this buddy that works at the Kawasaki Dealership, he is going to be getting a demo kfx 700 for the next summer. He continues to tell me that his 2wd kfx will go just as many places as my scrambler 4x4, I think he is full of crap. His reasoning behind this that his machine makes more power and has more ground clearence than mine and he will hit any sticky, muddy, swampy or boggy areas wide open (I'll laugh when he ingests so much water his machine won't run). He also thinks he will be able to ride it that much more aggresivley than I can, screw that. For one thing he has about 2 hours of seat time on an atv (granted he is a great dirt bike rider) and he doesn't understand that ATVing is a completely a different sport. I'll admit that the KFX will perform better in many situations, but a 2 wheel drive quad will never be able to go as many places as a 4x4, i don't what machine it is or who is riding it. What do the rest of you think will a kfx 700 go more places than my scrambler 4x4.

Just dont try to drag race him But there ARE places he wont be able to go and you will.

Well yeah, in that sense, my predator will go everywhere you can go too(I'm not afraid of hitting it hard either)......but its when you stop, or start slipping, that the 4x4 comes in handy.......

the only time i was impressed with the kfx700 was at an atv rodeo last summer. he threw a set of paddles on it and jumped into the modbog competition!! as long as he kept the front wheels up and outta the muck,, he just ,motored on thru the bog,,,,,full throttle....!!!!! it was a site to see....
you could probably do the same thing with any other 2wd quad,,,,
but 4x4 is a no brainer...........''

If you are as good a rider and just as aggressive he don't stand a chance. My 2x4 Scrammy will go through some sheet but it will eventually get stuck when you loose momentum. Both machines have enough power, it’s the rider and the 4x4 that gives you the advantage with riders being equal.
