Would a 2 stroker 300 (1995) or a 400 (1996) have valves in the cylinder? I was told they have ports in the cylinder walls rather than vavles. Excuse my ignorance.

 

there are no valves in a 2-stroke..

 

Some two strokes have rotary valves, and some have reed valves.

i know that, but if you look in his other threads he talks about 4-stroke type valves, and i was saying that 2-strokes dont have that type of valve...

Didnt see the other post. I thought he was just talking about 2 strokes in general.
Do two stroke diesel motors count? They have poppet valves, like four stroke motors.
