Default Dealer VS. Manual

Just wondering why the dealer recommended to change the oil in my new Scrammy 500 4x4 every 10 hours and the book says 100?
The manual also says to use 0-40 oil and they sold me 10-30!?
Anybody have any input on this????

Default Dealer VS. Manual

Your dealer is not selling Polaris motor oil. Polaris only uses 0-40W synthetic oil never 10-30W. It's my guess your dealer is making a little extra money by selling you regular car engine oil instead of 0-40W synthetic. If you live in a cold climate I'd change to 0-40W synthetic to better safeguard you engine for when the temperature drops.

The more you change the oil, the better, but dont go overboard. 10w-30 should work

use the polaris oil... or something 0-40 nothing else thats what your engine asks for... the manual says to change 10 hours on break in and 100 after normal riding conditions... i would change the oil around 60 to 80 hours if i was you
