I Need more ground clearance on the SCRAMBLER
Waht size tire can I put on the scrambler 500 4wd. It's a 2005 model All stock except skid plates. The ground clearance sucks the big one. I ride in the desert every week and Those rocks are taller than 4 inches. Sometimes there is NO dodging them.

Didn't realize the Scrambler was that low....the Polaris site actually lists the ground clearance at 5.5"
The stock tires are different sizes, front to rear:
Front Tires 23 x 7 - 10
Rear Tires 22 x 11 - 10
Unless thats a typo on Polaris's site. You could probably go up to 25" tires, but remember that you lose power and speed trying to turn bigger tires...plus you'll be harder on the clutch. You'll also be more top heavy and won't handle as well. I have about 12.25" ground clearance with my '05 700 EFI....I still hit a rock last weekend...oh well....
Maybe someone else on here that has put larger tires on their scrambler can help out...

Do you have a swingarm skid plate? I had one, it caused more hang ups than anything.
If you do go bigger you need to keep the size difference the same to keep the auto 4wd working properly......
I've hit many, many rocks without any problems.....are these special rocks that you don't want to hit?

I have a full rock guard on the front Black instead of the ugly yellow. Also, a skid plate on the swingarm. I didn't have one and the chain guard was getting beat to $hit. also the rotor was getting banged up. Now just the alum guard gets beat up But I can always bend it back to shape or even weld it if it breaks. I would like bigger tires all the way around + I'll put a clutch kit in it

I Need more ground clearance on the SCRAMBLER
Just wondering why you bought a brand new bike without the ground clearance for the type of riding you do?
And I hear alot of people say the scrambler has crappy ground clearance but it has MORE than any other chain-driven bike I could find on the net!!!!
I guess thats a plus to shaft driven-shoulda went that direction!

I Need more ground clearance on the SCRAMBLER
I bought two bikes 1 for fun scrambler and 1 for ride comfort sportsman. My wife loved the sportsman and also likes to go faster/quicker with the scrambler.
I just was asking if I can increase the ground clearance for my type of riding.
This is the first 4 wheeler I've ever owned.
I 've had 3 wheelers and 2 wheelers my whole life.
How can I find out what size tires I can put on both the front and the rear so it doesn't mess up the AWD.
24" in the rear and 25 in the front is this a good combo?
