05 700 efi problem
#1
while riding my 4 wheeler today i heard a noise sounded kinda like a rim rolling on sand. at first a thought i blowed a tire but when i stopped and looked i didnt see anything wrong so i got back on and tried to take off butt it wouldnt move like something was locked up.it started smoking the belt so i cut it off. no matter what gear you put it in it tries to move foward even in neutral.with the engine off it rolls fine in neutral.i was in two wheel drive when this happened.i was riding in the edge of the lake in about a foot of water washing the mud from underneath.no water problems.it only has like 140 miles on it still under warranty just curriuos if anyone else has had this problem.i hope this is not going to be a continuing thing with this atv. i owned a 2000 big bear 400 and never touched it 4 2 years other than servicing it. thanks for any comments in advance

I haven't had any problems with mine. I've probably got around 450 miles on it so far. I did a full oil and filter change at 100 miles. Then I just did the other fluids, other than radiator.
Hopefully its not serious. You can run error codes on the machine, but easier just to take it to the dealer, drop it off and keep on them about it. Hopefully you have a good dealer. I feel for ya man....I don't want to leave mine at the dealer ever. I can honestly say though, this is the 3rd Polaris I've owned, I've never had any problems with them.....

Trade that thing in on a Kazuma ! Maybe they'll even give ya enough cash back so you can get a happy meal......
I really think it's the dealers fault when they had to replace ya cv boots, they had to miss a step with the front end. Damn shame too, now my kawi will be on the trailer til you get yours back.

Could the clutch cover be leaking and the belt got wet?
Did you pull the plug?

did your belt slip with you with the water in it. my belt never sliped until whatever it was froze up and it wouldnt pull. then i smoked the belt. thats why i dont think its a water problem.
