I recently went to www.stockers.com and purchased a rebuild kit for my starter. A friend of mine is a small engine mechanic who specializes in ATV's, says Polaris has worst design for starters. He was right, I rebuilt it 2 1/2 months ago, and he picked it up last night, it won't start. Does Polaris have an upgrade design to better the starter yet, or does anyone have hints to "protect" the exposed starter?
