Default HELP! - I need Two-Stroke Experience.

Watch out for the oil injection block off fix, On that particular motor when you buy a block off kit it includes a plug to put back in the hole the shaft of the oil pump left , see your water pump shaft runs your oil pump and without this plug your water pump shaft will drop causing water pump failure which = $$$$$$$$$$ Order a block off kit from hot seat !!!!

EastTexasBoy: Thanks fer the heads-up. I'm really trying to avoid tearing into the case. I was going to order a real block plate today.

I am not sure if 40 to 1 is correct or not. It certaintly doesnt need any more oil than that.

Default HELP! - I need Two-Stroke Experience.

My 97 Sportsman was dying on me earlier this winter. come to find out I had about 1/2 gallon of water in my fuel tank. Now it runs great.

Oh yeah, I had to also retard the timing, because the damn thing pinged too much with regular fuel. Now it runs very smooth.

Default HELP! - I need Two-Stroke Experience.

i race my 250 trailblazer real hard through some pretty nasty conditions, and have never had any probs. with running 40:1 ratio, i even think 50:1 would work, but 40 :1 is easy to remember, 16 ozs. of oil to five gal of fuel....
