I'm hoping the title gets some of you scrammy guys to help me out. My problem, I have aquired a 99 400scrammy 4x4 that has been converted into a 4x2. I haven't tore into it too much yet but I know the bottom is shot because I do have the jug off and the crank has way too much slop. I'm wondering what will match up. For example, can I just get the bottom off of any 400( sportsman, scrammy, explorer) and have it match. Or even can I get the bottom off of an old 350 and have it work. Hope everyone understands what I'm trying to say. Any info is much appreciated.

my bad, I was thinking they put the 2 stroke in the older sportsmans too. What of the 350's, any idea if they have the same stroke as the 400's. I may even be abe to just replace the crank if I find one that will work. I don't know how bad the case is yet, hopefully new bearings and it can still be used.

you might try and go to www.partsland.com and cross-reference some part numbers from other models.
at least see if there are models out there with what you need to look for.
just an idea.
