Phoenix review.

I've only done it in sand.(I haven't had the chance to try anywhere else). But I can gauranty that if I can do it in sand I can do it anywhere. I scootch forward on the seat, nail the throttle, count to about 1 1/2 and tug on the bars and throw my weight backwards. Once I got it up it had a pretty decent balance point.

hey i'm thinking about getting a phoenix instead of the yamaha breeze, do you know how the two compare? also i will mostly be going to the dunes, i see you have a dune setup on yours, how well does it climb dunes? this will be for the gf, so she wont be doing anything crazy.

I was able to race a stock Breeze on some good packed wet sand. I had paddles he had extra large rear tires. The Phoenix wooped it good. We even swapped bikes with the same results. On the trails they both do fine. The Phoenix is more comfortable, handles better, is a far superior ride, and has better shifter location. The Breezes auto seems to be better mated to the engine out put. What the Breeze has going for it is it has been around for a while and has stood the test of time. There are some quirks with the Phoenix no doubt, but I'm glad I bought it and not the Breeze. As far as the Phoenix at the dunes It's hard to say. It will get up some hairy stuff with a good run. Long steep climbs will kill it. It handles more than what my daughter will throw at it so some of what it will do depends on the rider.

It was said that it performs well but makes some "bad" noises at times.
Polaris responded by saying it was normal sounds due to the buffer in the CVT against a sudden torque burst.
They said they will try to come up with a fix for the noise or to reduce it.

Hello Rick, hope you remember me...I bought some perfomace parts for my wifes scrambler 4x4 500 from you,i am your costumers from Switzerland.I just bought a Phoenix last two days and visiting phoenix forum...but I am a little bit confuse about what U guys talking about rear Brake....Please see my gallery.
My quick review about Phoenix:
-Nice smoth handling.
-some more power will be better.
-some parts could be better to replace:exhaust syst, suspensions syst.but doenst means oem are bad.
-3E...means:Economist-dont drink much gas,Efective_can go every terrain,Eficients-easy to go.
ok guys,Thanks and dont forget to see my gallery.have a nice safe ride.Greating from Switzerland,Regards,Dedi.

Hi fishslab, thanks for the explaination,i though all the same.but yes ...I just seen on Polaris industry website (US),showing that rear brake with drum brake.but you guys in USA should be happy with the price,I pay for about US $ 5,999.00.here. ok,the dealer says 500buks to make it street legal but still US 2000.00 different.....how lucky U R.
something is in my head......you guys talk about to compare between Phoenix and Blazer....and some guys in forum says Phoenix can be better than Blazer ...?!?!?is it because US version?my Phoenix run only 70km/h..probably 40m/h and blazer can run more than that.or I am wrong again?thanks and have a nice week.regards,Dedu.

You are right. The Phoenix will not go much faster than 40/45 mph. Some modifications may get it faster, but the Trailblazer can go even faster too. As far as cost, your income in U.S. dollars is probably higher than normal here as well.
