WHOA!!! a 110 jet? Your just asking for trouble. Any mechanic that knows Polaris 2 strokes knows that a 110 would be way too lean. Yes it will run better on a slightly lean side but it will burn up a piston. DO NOT StaY WITH A 110 jet. Make sure he will warranty a piston and rebuild before you take posession of the quad.

Interesting insight. It's probably due for a top end anyway but I dont want to help it along.

So if it doesn't run properly on a 130, and a 110 is too lean, then what do I go with? I mean clearly its a jetting problem (the carb is 100% clear) so a suggestion on the proper jetting would be of value because a 130 aint it.

All replies appreciated.

oh one more thing, I cant test the reverse over-ride suggestion until next week and since i plan to ride it tonight and tomorrow with the 110, and since I can't really increase the amount of injector oil that gets pumped in, should I add a little injector oil direct to my gas like a premix to make it richer?

The injector oil will do nothing to make it run rich or lean. It just lubricates! Running lean means that you have more air then fuel. Air burns hotter than fuel thus burning a hole in the piston. The fuel acts like a coolant. It helps cool the motor as it burns. If you ride with the 110 in it you are asking for trouble. You will be here next week asking us how to rebuild your motor. If everything is stock and you have not done anything to it then there should be NO reason to change the jetting. Something else is wrong. Maybe the float is sticking, clogged fuel filter, air filter. You really need to take a plug reading to figure out if it was running lean or rich.
