if polaris atv's are so "tough" then why do treehugger and his friends parts continue to break often. i know some of it could be riding type and terrain but ive seen a couple posts about how you spend a lot of time fixing. please dont think im trying to bash. just pointing something out. i know that all quads are going to have parts that need to be replaced at some point in time.

 

boy i'm glad i'm not a polaris dealer....if i was a honda, kawi, suzi, cat, or yammi, dealer i could save a ton of money by not having a service dept, spending all that money on mechanics that just sit around with nothing to do would be such a waste. i guess they could learn how to fix polaris' then they'd have all kinds of work.........lol

 

I know why people don't like Polaris, cause it's not foreign everyone believes foreign crap lasts longer. But there are some people out there that don't like rice so end this stupid thread.

 

honda has been the leader in atv sales since THEY INVENTED IT back in 1970.

one reason i don't like polaris's is...
1. there sport quads are way to damn heavy
2. the handling sucks
3. the are automatic
4. don't have very sport looks
5. iv'e heard of many problems

the only exception to this list is the predator which in my eyes is the only quad besides the utilities that i consider good.

 

polaris only has one sport ATV(pred)...the scrammies/sports are sport utes...

 

i also think that one hand lever for all the wheels to brake is a bad design yet more beginner friendly. Some times u use the rear brakes more than the fronts or vice versa depending on the terrain or situation ur in.. its all about having more control and i just dont like how polaris makes everything on their sport quads so "automatic"

don't get me wrong the polaris's are nice cruisers if thats the type of riding u like to do but polaris's features don't suit me

 

Man, dont even compaire a Honda pos to a Polaris. You couldn't give me a fleet of Hondas for 1 wore out Polaris. I have owned all makes except for an Arctic Cat. The brakes are 1 of Polaris's best qualities. I have NEVER had a problem with the brakes on any Polaris I have owned! I now have Engine Braking Systerm and combine that with the Best Quad Brakes ever, I will put it this way and if im lying I will kiss your A** and give you 2 weeks to draw a crowd. I can take this 1200 lb atv that has 1225lb towing capacity and hook my 17' Bayliner Boat that ways way more than 1500 lbs to it and pull it arond the house and stop it with no problems, now I would like to see any other atv try it. When I bought it the salesman said if I wear brakes out on this thing in 2 yrs theres something wrong with me. Well its three yrs and many trails later still have 1/4 left on them,put a Honda through that and see if theres even a rotor left, I don't want to hear any Polaris thrashing here go tell it to someone who doen't have a clue like you. As far as the automatic thats a something people who don't know nothing about performance, I will climb a hill first and faster than any manual , and me on this 1200lb machine. that you caim has bad brakes, bad handling ( no know problems there), Hearing bad problems and seeing them are 2 different things. I went to the dealer today 1 of the high selling dealers around here to get some oil ,they didn't seem to busy standing around to me. So as far as problems I had more with that junkie Honda I had which stayed at the repair shop more than it did in the woods.

 

If you don't like Polaris...then stay off our forums. You guys act like a bunch of kids. Grow up!! We really don't care what you don't like about them. I don't like any other quads besides Polaris, but do you see me runing my mouth on the Honda, Yamaha fourms about what I don't like about them?
