Does anyone know if HPD sells just the muffler for the 500 scram I still have the pipe and everything but the muffler got totalled rear ended on the trail I don't want to spend the money on the whole kit again If not I guess I will go with aaen's

 

yeah they do,go look on their site,its listed under mufflers..

 

that one there is for 2 strokes is it not ,it says 400's , 250's and the 416 kit which are all 2 strokes I think although I could be wrong

 

the one i was looking at says its for the powermax 500 scrambler,its cost $219.95

I have the old style one , they should be made for the same size pipes do you think?

 

do you have the old style that you have to cut the hangers off the frame and install there hangers, if so it wont work. i had the same prob with mine, had to fab up some new hangers and weld them on to install new muff.

 

Yeah that is the one I have but when I cut the hangers off I saved them.
Another question for ya do you happen to have the part # off the old style muffler If so I may be able to get one from dynomax because that is where it came from prob off a foreign car.

 

HPD has hangers that they use for the trail blazer muffler. They are around $12 from HPD and you will be able to put them on your quad and use the new muffler.
