Badazz400 makes a good point.

Yes they are a Piston company. They make lightweight forged pistons that withstand really high rpm engines and is a really good investment as well as good insurance against the stock piston breaking from the higher rpms the engine makes from the aftermarket pipes.

Does that HPD require an aftermarket silencer or do ya use the factory one?

is there any benefit to an aftermarket silencer over the stock one?

There's a weight savings. I think about 10 pounds or more. Man those stock silencers are heavy! Other than that not sure I never used the stock silencer.

how noticeable is 10 lbs. on a 600 lb. atv?

Not that much, but on heavy machines like these every little bit counts.

just talked to Rick from Ritter Cycle. He's a real nice guy, very helpful. He's only about 2-3 hrs from where I live. He also suggested the HPD pipe. Thanx for all your help.
Shawn I'll be in touch about that pipe

Rick told me i would be fine with the stock silencer and would only gain noise and MAYBE 1 hp but i eventually bought the HPD MSA spark arrested silencer that looks much better and sounds better too, although louder. I couldnt tell a performance gainbut it is MUCH lighter.
