Same here!

 

Happened about three times to me on my Xplorer. Now I just have the Key by itself. No danglies.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Been there done that. Just a bare key now.

 

Ok, but explain this one: I had the same problem, so I took the keychain off, so now it is just a key. But it still does it! Randomly, maybe once a ride, it acts as if the key was turned off. motor goes off, guage shuts off, lights out just as if the key is off, but it isnt. I then turn the key off, wait a second, and it restarts fine. Completely random, does it while idling, accelerating, etc. It doesnt bother me right now as it is just an incovenience, but in the summer I am afraid. Whenever i have the muffler underwater I am worried the motor will turn off and I will get a mufflerfull of mud.

 

That sounds like a bad cuircut breaker or loose wire. I've had this one happen when ridding I accidently lean against the handle bars and hit the kill switch. It happens most on steap climbs or jumps when I am leaning forward and have to turn the handle bars. Quite often the I find the switch back in the run position. Took a couple of times to figure this one out. Finally actually saw it happen and the mystery was solved.LOL

 

And I thought I was the only one! keychain shutdown, happened to me 4 times till I figured it out, ok Im slow....

 

Only one? Ha. Whenever a friend gets a new Polaris, the first gift must be a keychain...

 

lol....good one....it cracked me up since I did it about 3 or 4 times on my new machine before I took the keychain off....

 

I put a keychain on yesterday, even tho i knew it would turn it off. It was a little alien thing, a toy, not a keychain, that just cracked me up when i looked at it. It turned off my quad three times yesterday, and on the third time it broke the ring it was on [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] so no more alien.

 

Yeah it happens. I have a key to my treestand, and a key to a lock on my loading ramps. Everyonce and a while, Ill turn the handle bars and the engine will die. I'm about to take them off though, couse im tired of having to keep kranking my wheeler while riding.
