SHUTS OFF "800"

Default SHUTS OFF "800"

if you are on a steep incline "up" or "down" shuts off turn key starts right up doesen't do it again !!!for awhile <only did it twice > just wonder any one else have this happen to them!! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] this is on my sportsman 800

I don't have an 800 but have read on different fourms that some have bad coils.

are you sure you aren't having the keychain syndrome....where you are riding and turn the handlebars and have too many keys on your keychain and it turns the machine off, we've all done that....I now only have just my polaris key on the ring, nothing else....

you know what im sure thats what it is? i have a bar code card for a 4-wheel park we go to paragon adventure park i noticed when i would fill with gas and turn the steering all the way one way would turn the key makes sense now cool!! thanks

He is not joking. I have done that a few times on mine. If you have too many keys on the keychain and you happen to turn the bars far enough to one side it can get caught on the gas cap and pull the key out just enough to turn the machine off. I didn't catch this the first time it happened to me, but the next instance I figured out what was going on. Like elkbow said, just use your polaris key and you will never run into this problem.

I know that can happen. I was saying are you seriouse that elkbow hit it right on the head. Something most people would not even have thought of.

the only reason I said it was because it only happened to him once....I did it about 3 or 4 times before I took all the crap off of my key chain....
