Default A common question

Lately I have been looking into some new tires. I have thought in the past that when I wear my factory tires out(Rawhide Grips) I would get some Mudlites, but I think I have changed my mind. I want somthing that is going to ride pretty good, have good allround traction, mud particularly, and a long wear. I have looked at 589's, Dirt Devil XT's, Gators, and possibly Outlaws. I dont want huge, power draining tires, I'll most likely get 26's in whatever I choose. I have even considered something like Gators on the back and Dirt Devil XT's on the front for steering. I would like to know some first hand experiance from yall. I would like to hear your likes and dislikes of the tires I have listed, and any other types of tire that I may not know about.

Looking at what you are saying, consider getting the Polaris (Carlisle) PXT's....they are marketed by ITP and called the Wetlands....they are on all the 2005 machines and are great all around tires and ride great also....

here is the link to the 'new products' page on the ITP site, you can get them in 26" and they are not power-draining, but a great all-around 6 ply radial tire:

here is a picture of just the tires:

I would agree with elkbow or for the second choice stick with the Mudlites.
