Default 800 exhaust on 600?

Heres the 800 exhaust parts break down, The header flange looks the same. The header itself looks pretty nice compared to the 600 700 collector. The dual mufflers are more looks then anything aparently. Here's the 600 exhaust. Does any one know if the the pipes are the same diameter? If they are the dual mufflers should be an easy fit.

I doubt any of this would be worth it but would be neat anyway. I think I'll price some of it out next time I'm at the dealer.

some of the parts would fit, where the problem would be is at the frame and under the toolbox location for the mufflers. they (the bikes) are made different in this area. wouldn't say impossible, but alot of reworking to do.

that sounds like a sweet mod to do, I think everyone likes the looks of the duals and It may give the quad a unique level sound. how much money would be involved with a mod like that?

After looking at the parts break down I think I'm more interested in the header then the dual exhaust. I'll have to see how the price compares to aftermarket headers.

I had never really looked at the 800, I figured it had seperate pipes running back each side. Since its just a crossover pipe I'm not as impressed. But it still looks cool from the back.

Silver, I think if I where doing the dual mufflers. I would pick up a used muffler from somone that put a aftermarket one on for the other side and make a y just before the stock muffler to run to the other side put a spring coupler on eash side of the cross pipe. I think it could be done pretty cheap.

the header on the 800 has dual pipes coming from the exhaust manifold, header wont fit, only the exhaust will.

If you look at the header mount (where it bolts to the head) it looks like the same bolt pattern as the collector on 600/700. It's got to be a little better then what I've got but maybe not as good as an aftermarket header. Thats why I want to price one.
