RAD valve install results

Rob,
I'm not really sure about the top end. Rarely do I have a chance to really wind her out on trails and in woods. The bike does have more throttle response and quicker acceleration than stock. It will also wheelie in high range, although I'm not sure if that is due to the rad valve or changing the main jet. I'm not sure if the rad valve is worth the $150, but it does improve performance without sacrificing reliability or producing higher noise levels. That is what I was looking for, so I would most likely spend the $150 again. Boyesen claims 1-3 hp gain with the rad valve. Later,

Man, I really love the cheater pipe. It is not that much louder than stock (sounds a lot more serious though). They said that it made 7-8 more HP. over stock and I can really tell a difference. The silencer looks like a little bazooka it is almost 2 ft. long but still does not stick out past the back of the quad. Overall I'm quite pleased. The cost is about $329.00 if my memory serves me correctly.

I didnt mean to sound like I didnt believe you either, but like Rob said it didnt really make sense until you explained about the volicity vs air flow issue, which does make since.
Hell, I may drop a jet size in mine now...lol

The cheater pipe is made by dynoport corp. You can check them out at www. dynoport.com. The pipe was originaly designed for enduro riders who had to pass state forest noise restiction levels. They adapted it to the 400s. It is supposed to retain the majority of the power output with only a little bit more noise. I just ordered the EPI sport utility clutch kit from dennis kirk a couple days ago at a cost of $158.99 without any shipping charges. If any one wants the part # let me know. Joe
