It allows you to run a .030 gap on the race mod verses a .018. You can also advance the timing instead of retarding it. As anyone with a 400 know, if you have the spark plug cap off and crank it over, the spark won't even jump out of the cap. With the new ignition system it'll jump over one inch from the cap. It is a steal at less than 300 dollars, if you've priced an ignition system you know most are pretty high. It consists of a new coil, ignitor coil for the stator and cdi. Darrell said he hasn't got it on the dyno yet, but he had to add 4grams of weight to the primary clutch with the addition of the ignition system. Which if you know much about clutching that's a ton of weight, so the power gain has to be pretty significant. Ced's right they are selling faster than they can make them. Last I new he had 5 on a waiting list and he was suppose to have 25 ready this week!

So is this ignition system mainly designed for bikes that are highly modded for racing or will it work well for a typical trail setup?

Will I see any benefits from the new ignition if I have basic mods like a filter, v-force reeds, trail pipe, etc. or is gonna be a waste of money?

I am just curious and any help would be appreciated.
