OK , an hour of busted knuckles and its on.
Bent clips , wd 40 and a hammer!!!
This is NOT user friendly.
Good Idea but needs alot of work to be perfected.
I will try to remove it and put it back on within 1 hour and get back to everyone.
Anyone else having problems with it ???

It may take a few times to break in the disconnect, just use a little lube as you did. I've also found with all the weight i've added to the rear of my sportsman it's harder to get on and off than when i first installed it, becuase of the sagging rear. But with all that said i ride now 99% of the time with in off and I LOVE IT! I keep the disconnect under the seat just in case we are going to be crusing for a while.
a few of things to remeber:
1. make sure the machine is on level ground when removing and installing.
2. put the bottom on first and slide the top over the square tube.
3. the square tube will move left (if looking from the rear), this helps during reinstallation, push it over if you can.
4. keep it clean ... any dirt will REALLY make it hard to put on.
5. get the weight off the rear of the machine ... the more weight the harder it is to get on.

I use my rear winch and a tree to lift the rear just alittle off the ground to reinstall ... this makes a world of difference!
---look at my sportsman and you will see why---
---it's a little fat in the #$!---

I will give it another try in the AM. I will also try to get someone to help lift the weight of the atv to assist.
If it takes someones help for me to get it on, then thats fine. I will only take it off if im riding with a friend or if Im going to stay under 30 MPH.

I have had very good luck with the disconnects on my sportsmans. Being on level ground when you connect or disconnect the link is a big help. Disconnecting the sway bar really helps the ride and the independent suspenion travel, I also ride mostly with it disconnected unless on a logging road or smooth field. look at 20045SP500HO's pics. he has done a great job on his web page.
silverbullet2005 yes I have a friend that had one made special for his lifted quad, he has a highlifter 2" kit and it's OK.
20045SP500HO has some great tips also that make it a little easier.
