Can anyone tell me when the next year models will hit the dealerships? I am thinking somewhere around August or September, but can't remember. I am interested in a 2006 Sportsman 500. Also I noticed that Polaris makes some minor changes halfway through the year. An example being 2004.5 had some changes from the early year 2004's. Does it pay to wait until the late model years roll out(2006.5)?


I sold my 2002 Sportsman 500 2 years ago and bought a DS 650 x Baja. I love the DS in the sand but really miss my 500 in the deep woods.

The 04.5's were a one time thing. They usally come out in July and start getting to dealers around September.

 

The 2005's didn't hit the showroom floor until late August, starting with the smaller machines like the 500, I got my 700 EFI around the 13th of September, just hit the showroom...

Someone on here said Polaris had a SP500HO EFI for 2006. Any truth to this or is it still speculation.

 

Not sure if its true or not, but it makes since. The 400-500cc class is the best selling in the ATV world, a 500EFI would be a hot seller for Polaris for sure. Time will tell...

I didn't read that they were ready to sell one but that Polaris was at Glamis testing one.

 

I heard they were offering a 500HO EFI supercharged Hemi.
