I was just wondering how hard it was to wire and out a winch on a polais 700 sportsman.

what year 700?

if it's an '05 they come pre-wired from the factory.

the 2005 comes prewired, but it isn't much more than doing it on an earlier machine....the 2005 has the power and ground cables already run and there is a mount for the contactor/solenoid and an ignition plug....thats it....

 

I recently installed a pre-wired one on a SP 400. Piece of cake.

 

I just installed a Ramsey ATV3000 on my 2004 Sportsman 400. I used the rocker switch only winch and not the wireless remote unit. The one I installed was really very straight forward and easy but required a few hours to do. The wireless remote unit has somewhat more involved wiring due to antenna etc.... I also used the one piece winch mount.....much better in my opinion. I'm very happy with it and glad I chose to do it myself.
