Default IRS DURABILITY?

How does the duribility of the IRS compare to an SRA? How many miles or hours have you gone without an issue? What would be the most common problem with IRS? Im sick and tired of getting hung-up!!! All that so called ground clearence dont mean squat when you rear axle sets 6 inches off the ground. How in the world do they dream up these specs???!!!!!!!!

The only difference I see is that there are CV boots in the rear, not a real negative, but just one more thing to keep an eye on. I love having IRS, its nice to be able to run over logs the long way, and the ground clearance really is over a foot.

IMO the IRS is the best ride you can have. The swing arm is fine but for the comfort IRS is the way to go and also handle better in rocky trails.

Default IRS DURABILITY?

i have IRS on my sportsman 500...it is great!!! i've ridden it for just a little over 1600 miles with no troubles. that 1600 miles equals out to about 159 hours of riding time... or so says my hourmeter. the boots may be one thing to worry about... but i aint broke one yet. you just cant go around smashing sticks and rocks in the rear end.

ground clearence is also a really nice thing to have
