Default polaris 700 plug wires

Changed plugs today and went riding but not far. Plug wire kept poping off at least 4 times , Then it stayed on so far is there a trick to keeping it on . There seemed to be some type of glue dryed up in there when i changed it . I s that the way to put them back on?

Sounds like the plug is not sealing and compression is blowing it off. Might want to be sure the plug is tight and or the gasket is on the plug. There shound not be any glue, but maybe some dielectic grease should be on it to keep water out. I would plug the spark plug in the wire and see if it holds itself and not fall off (out of the engine)
