Default HELP! Hard Storage Box for Sportsman?????

I need some advice on which Hard storage box fit a Sportsman Rear rack????
Im looking for a proper fit. I dont want it to be to small or hang over!!!
I dont have rack extenders.
Im looking at the Kolpin,
also the Cabelasbook has a Plano #HE 52-1107. The Plano seems to be shown on a Polaris.

Any suggestions would help.
Thanks
Steve

There are a ton of different storage boxes on ebay, you may want to check them out. I know there is one from one of the dealers I bought some stuff with that is a hard storage and also has a seat built in for a second rider, pretty cool, but I don't ride passengers often except my dog, so no box on the rear for me. I was thinking of getting a soft bag for the front....

I don't have a Sportsman but I have an '01 Xplorer with composite racks and I recently purchased the Plano storage box you are looking at. I think it fits just right on the rear rack. It's not quite as wide as the rack and goes right up to the front of the rack. It does make the seat a little tough to get out but after a couple of times I figured out an easy way to do it. For the price, you can't go wrong. I'm glad I purchased it.

Just my $.02.

The Plano is the one Im looking at. Do you think it will fit good on a Sportsman rear rack?

One nice thing about a soft storage bag is that it is comfortable to lean back on when taking a nap or when waiting for your buddies to catch up. Tamarack bags seem to be of high quality. I bought one late last year but haven't used it yet.

I would think, but I don't know for a fact, that the composite racks would be about the same size and I'm sure Cabela's used a Sportsman in their photos (they seem to in all their others) so I would think it would fit pretty well, mine does. One nice thing about the Plano box is you can strap things to the top of it as well. My 85 lb. son was sitting on top of it the other day and the top wasn't sagging at all.

Hope this helps.

Walmart sells a black box that fits perfectly on my 03 rear rack. I just need a ratchet strap to hold it down. I think it was about 16 bucks. Cheaper than a name brand for sure!

Default HELP! Hard Storage Box for Sportsman?????

I just picked up the Polaris hard rear bag for my sportsman. I paid $130.
It fits perfect, looks good too. It bolts on to the stock rack.

I should be happy with it.
I got sick of the soft bags only lasting a few rides and then the hold down staps would rip the bag!
