No, see, here is the ultimate brain-fart ; Couple of months ago we got the first real snow we've had in a couple of years, and was one that anyone with ATV's in the area ( as well as snowmobiles ) had long been waiting on. Started falling late afternoon and by 8:00 was starting to pile-up really nice. My daughter started bugging about heading out in it and I was ready myself, so we got the cold-gear on and decided to ride 26 miles to my brothers house, on the Sportman, where he'd be waiting on his and we'd hit the trails near his place. Anyway, when we get close to his place I decided to hit this Marathon station and re-fuel. After refueling, we get on the quad, with a bunch of people looking on with envy ( Anyone with a quad that's been out in public know's what I'm talking about ) and I go to start it up and...NOTHING !!! Not even so much as a click ! I have twin batts. and wasn't getting anything, yet the lights were on real intense. I removed the recoil long ago, so now I'm p!ssed about that move. Anyway, we were only about a quarter mile from my brothers house and so I got out the cell phone and placed the call. He came in his truck and I just ran the winch cable out a few yards and hooked to his bumper and he pulled us to his place, where we tried to figure out what was wrong. My first quess was that the starter got some moisture in it and after the long 55 MPH ride to his place had frozen, or something. So we let it sit for an hour in his heated garage and then I tried it again, and still nothing but, just as I was releasing what I was using as the starter I suddenly had a moment of clarity...I was pushing the damned override button!!! My Sportsman has the start botton integrated in the on/off switch, and you shove it upwards while centered...many of yours are the same way. The entire time, even while sitting at the gas station, I was pushing the override button. I've had this quad since new in 2000 ! All I can figure is that I had just recently ridden my Wolverine several times and started getting used to a normal starter button, and without thinking, obviously, was trying to start with the override! Anyway, I wasn't about to cop to my brother, and worse yet, my daughter, that I went momentarily retarded !. To this day they think it finally thawed and started

Funny Polaris Story
My ex-father in law works for a surveyer who bought a new utility quad to carry the equipment. Well they went out in the woods, worked all day and he left the light on and the battery was dead. It wouldn't start so they walked back to the truck, got a pulley and hand winch. They winched it out according to them about the length of a football field through rough terrain by hooking it tree to tree until they reached the truck! Then they had to push it in the truck! They brought it immediately to the dealer because the guy was so pissed that his battery didn't hold up!?! He complained about all the hardship he went through to get the quad back and how much of a POS it was. The guy just turned the key, and pulled the cord and it started right up! The guy bought this thing and didn't know it had a pull cord!
